Neck pain is one of the most common reasons people visit chiropractic practices. With a lifetime prevalence rating from 14.3% to 71.1%, hundreds of millions of people are struggling with neck pain at any point in time.

This study sought to demonstrate the effectiveness of cervical care vs. cervical plus thoracic care for people with neck pain. Care included spinal mobilization, myofascial release, stretches, and neural tissue mobilizations. The researchers discovered that both treatment groups found significant relief, with the cervical plus thoracic group achieving the most optimal results.

Evaluating the neighboring body region is crucial when providing a diagnosis and care plan for patients with musculoskeletal issues. Our complete evaluation process always takes a holistic look at each patient to create a complete and personalized care plan to help them achieve the best results possible.

“Prolonged working in awkward postures has been reported to be one of the reasons for developing neck pain in the younger population.”

“….the current study suggested effectiveness of applying manual therapy to both cervical and thoracic regions for neck pain. TMT lowers mechanical stresses of cervical spine and improves the normal distribution of joint forces, resulting into the restoration of normal biomechanics of cervical spine.”

“…disability associated with neck pain was significantly reduced after treatment…”

We believe patients have better outcomes when their
health professionals work together.
